Wrangler is a sweet boy whose nearly constant purr reveals just how much he appreciates being around you. If you didn’t already notice him sitting expectantly in front of you waiting for his scritches, he will remind you with the gentlest of paw taps on your leg or arm. Although he sometimes likes to explore the house and his toys independently, he’ll check back in with you frequently, and will remind you each time about the importance of scritches.
Wrangler enjoys figuring out puzzle toys (he won’t tell you this part, but too many treats give him a tummy ache), tracking the wand toy’s every move, investigating boxes, and is hoping to one day solve the mystery of where the birds in the bird videos on Youtube go when they aren’t on screen.
He is about 2-3 years old – a young cat, but grown out of the kitten stage. He has come a long way in his bravery since coming into foster care, but would still do best in a calm household where he can settle in at his own pace and continue to build his confidence. Even though he is timid initially, he is unfailingly gentle.
After gradual introductions, Wrangler is happy to coexist with his foster’s resident dog, and recently has taken their relationship to the next level by nuzzling the dog and purring whenever she’s around, in hopes of becoming true friends. With proper introductions he would do well with a calm, cat-savvy dog who will give him space when he needs it. He’s currently fostered with his cat buddy Buckaroo, and they do well together, but can also be adopted separately.
