Meet Louis Vuitton!

This big hunk came to us from our friends at Rebel Cat Rescue when it was discovered that he is fiv+ and very lonely for a friend.

Louis Vuitton is the largest and possibly sweetest cat I have ever met. Though he was found covered in scabs, scars, and a broken tooth living on the streets in a small Saskatchewan town with no one to love. It is abundantly clear he was once someone cherished pet. A cat doesn't get this instantly loving and trusting growing up outdoors.

Louis is scheduled to see our vet soon to have his tooth looked at as it will likely need to be surgically extracted. Thankfully it doesn't seem to be causing him issues other than his lip occasionally getting stuck.

FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is far less scary than it sounds. FIV+ cannot be transmitted to humans, dogs, or other species. It is primarily spread through deep bite wounds, something unlikely in a peaceful home. Many FIV+ cats live completely normal lifespans and make just as wonderful companions as any other cat.
