Awww... Miss Gabby....this sweet girl has been through a lot in her life, so far. Having been rescued from a hoard situation with dozens of other cats and an army of dogs, as well, she had some serious health, dental and grooming issues which have been addressed and rectified. She feels and looks much, much better now but the scars of neglect and perhaps some abuse, linger on. She never hisses, growls, scratches or bites. She still goes into hiding when someone tries to pick her up, when company comes or when a new foster cat arrives but her overall improvement has been astounding. The trust is building, the playfulness is coming out, and she's even getting a little bossy letting her foster Mom know when her bowl is (half) empty and when she is bored and wants some attention. A diet in the near future is inevitable and, perhaps, rehab from a kitty tv addiction. If you are looking for a kitty who will jump in your lap and love all over you the moment you meet, this shy, sweet girl is not for you.

Gabby will require patience, space, understanding, encouragement and a lot of love to continue to come out of her shell. She truly does deserve a soft place to land, one she can call her forever home with her forever person or people.
