Introducing James, a beautiful long-haired greyish-white tabby with captivating big eyes. James may have had a rough start as a feral outdoor cat, but she's proven to be incredibly sweet and affectionate. While she adores head and back scratches, she's still a bit cautious about having her belly touched, so she'll need some patience and time to fully warm up. Despite her initial shyness, James is remarkably submissive and gentle, eager to please and earn your trust. She's particularly fond of treats, which can be used as a tool to build a bond with her. With a little love and understanding, James has the potential to become a devoted and loving companion for life.

However, she may need build a bond with you over some time before she is ready to adventure around your house. Keeping her in a separate room so that you can build up her trust and she can come out of her shell.

While living outside James contracted FIV, which can be fairly common amongst unfixed colony cats from fighting and mating. Cats with FIV can live long, uneventful lives with basic supportive care that you’d offer any other cat. Negative cats and positive cats can live harmoniously through proper and slow introductions. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our team and we’d be happy to walk you through adopting a cat with FIV.
