Squirrel was a proud outdoor cat, having survived for 7 years on his own - which is quite the feat since most wild toms don't live very long. After a near fatal attack by coyotes, Squirrel had won the cat lottery and entered retirement with SOS prairie rescue.
He might be ball-less, but he is still flawless 😘
Squirrel is still getting used to having humans as roommates, and his human fosters are working on getting him more confident with human touch. He is quick to enjoy everything else.
He likes exploring the home, playing with toys, having the zoomies, lounging and having those belly exposed, sun bathing, deep sleeps that could mimic the dead on his favorite spot on the ottoman.
God help him, if the humans are late with any of his meals.
He might forgive you if you add another can of wet food to his meal, just maybe.
Because of his fight with the coyotes, Squirrels does look like a taxidermy gone horrible wrong...
His one eye has no vision in it, and while it doesn't cause him pain right now, at some point it might and removal is recommended. He lost his ears to frostbite.
